My Story
I’ve always had a vivid imagination and a deep love for writing. From a young age, jotting things down helped me process emotions and gave life to my creativity. Writing fiction has been a dream, and now I’ve not only published my first novel, Ripple in Still Waters, but I’m also working on the sequel—all by God’s grace. The story is inspired by the sister I never met, Michelle, who passed away before I was born. I brought her to life in the book as Tori, a guardian angel to Fiona, who represents my younger self.
Years of health struggles—including rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia—completely changed my life, but also gave me the time and space to write. Though I had to give up my caregiving career, I found new purpose through storytelling. My husband, my biggest supporter, encouraged me every step of the way. Now, I enjoy peaceful days in the countryside, writing by the window, spending time with family, and making the most of each moment. Despite the challenges, I’m truly blessed—and I believe the best is yet to come.
BOOK

The characters and events in this novel are fictional. They are about reality, trials of life, lessons learned, aches and pains, love, faith, hope, unity, tragedy, addiction, and God–given free will, just to name a few. It’s about two young immigrants from Canada who meet each other in the USA in the 1950s. Once married, they start a family: two boys, one right after the other, and then finally, a little girl, Tori. Then tragedy strikes, and the loss of Tori is devastating. The emotions and life that follow slow down for no one. The marriage is strained, then revived with the birth of another girl, Fiona, who was born with the gift of communicating with her deceased sister’s spirit. Throughout Fiona’s life, she keeps her sister’s memory alive, making sure the world knows of her existence.
